Jennifer Wood created the Parents Day Out program in 2023. The program was born from a desire to provide safe and loving childcare to children in our county. The PDO program is the first of it's kind for Benton. Jennifer's background includes experience in church based daycare, private Christian academy, and Special Education within the local school system. Jennifer made the transition to ministry after spending a couple of years at home with her daughter Eleanor, after her adoption from Taiwan in 2017.
Ms. Jennifer holds various training certificates on top of her years of hands on experience. She is also certified in First Aid & CPR. Ms. Jennifer graduated from Bradley Central High School in 2009, Cleveland State in 2010, and is one year short of completing her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.
Ms. Jennifer has been married to her husband Blake for 12 years and has been a Mama to Ella for 7.Her family loves board games, their gold retriever Buzz, and all things Disney! Most importantly they love working together to show others the love of Jesus!
Cheyenne Miller has been working with First Steps since our opening in 2022. She began in our Preschool One classroom and then took over our Pre-K classroom. She is not only our assistant director, but also our Pre-K4 teacher.
Ms.Cheyenne has two children, Zander (7) and Riley (3). Riley has attended First Steps since we opened!
Ms. Cheyenne is very involved in the Polk County Youth Football & Cheer League. She has been a coach for the past 6 seasons. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her kids. Ms.Cheyenne is a member of Ocoee Church of God, where she serves alongside her husband Zach.
